Having established our kennel in 2000 taking the Russian tribal word "Rykalov" as our affix, meaning "howl", we are primarily a racing kennel competing across the whole of the UK.  Training on dry land rigs and a quad (special permission granted) up to 4 times week under permit at several Forestry Commission locations in Somerset, we are part of a large group of fellow musher’s under the banner of the South West Trailblazers. The group enjoys been able to practice many aspects of training and racing. Of course with these numbers, post training BBQ Breakfasts on a Sunday morning dispose of quite a few pounds of sausages and bacon!
